Well-respected
in the industry, Dance Connection Entertainment's
entertainers have performed for small groups of twelve
persons as well as for audiences as large as eighty
thousand. Our past locations have ranged from backyard
parties to the most prestigious restaurants and hotels
around the world. No matter the size or location of
your upcoming event, be assured that we can handle it
and provide exactly the kind of entertainment that you
are looking for.
Our entertainers are
employed by us, we never subcontract our work to other
entertainment companies. This means that when you
hire Dance Connection Entertainment you will get Dance
Connection Entertainment. When all of our entertainers
are booked for a particular day we actually turn down
new clients and refer them to our
competition.
For your protection we have
liability and equipment insurance and our employees
are covered by workers compensation insurance. We are
also a member of the American Disc Jockey
Association.

SELECTING THE RIGHT DISC JOCKEY FOR
YOUR WEDDING
Almost all "professional" disc
jockeys have similar music libraries. What sets disc jockeys
apart is their personality and ability to read a crowd. You
first need to decide what personality or involvement you want
the entertainer to have in front of your guests. Then interview
the entertainer. Find out how and why they make the decisions
to play particular songs and how they structure the formalities
and announcements.
At Dance Connection we insist on planning the music and
formalities with you at least a month prior to the wedding.
This is important, as our entertainers do not have rehearsed
material or use the same routine at every wedding. If you
know how you want things to happen at your wedding, this
meeting would be the time to convey your instructions to the
entertainer. However, if you need assistance - our entertainers
are always happy to offer suggestions. In fact, weeks before
the meeting we will send you a questionnaire detailing all of
the information needed. This will allow you to plan for the
meeting by discussing the issues and options with your
fiancé and family.
The questionnaire also provides space for you to list the
do's and do not's of music. We encourage our clients to let us
know about a few special songs they want played and more
importantly, the songs, artists, or types of music they do not
want played. This will allow us to play requests only within
your guidelines.
STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT

Our
new computer based DJ systems allow us to spend less
time with our heads down, looking through hundreds of
CD's for songs, and more time reading the crowd. In
fact we no longer bring CD's with us (but we can play
yours). The system allows us to rapidly take requests
and assemble playlists because we can search our
database in just seconds. The sound quality is the
same as CD's and the digital songs don't skip like
CD's and records can when the dance floor gets
jumpin'.
The system is also more
compact than conventional DJ systems. We now require
half the setup space than we did before. This is
helpful when banquet space is limited.
Our equipment is redundantly
backed up and is maintenanced regularly. Our Deluxe
Systems are powered by Mackie powered speakers for
events up to 250 people. For larger events a
Bi-Amplified System powered by QSC amplifiers and JBL
Professional speakers is available.
